The Return King: Conversations with

Special Guest Longsnapper Patrick Mannelly & NFL Superstar Devin Hester
Wednesday October 18, 2017 6:00PM — 8:00PM

Guests will have special access to this Thuzio event featuring NFL superstar Devin Hester and Longsnapper Patrick Mannelly. The event will feature a Q&A session with the star Special Teams players moderated by Chicago Tribune Sports Writer Teddy Greenstein, a menu of delicious hors d'oeuvres from the 4-star Palmer House Hilton Hotel, and a complimentary bar sponsored by Belvedere Vodka.

Hailed the “best return man of all time,”(SB Nation) Devin Hester scored five touchdowns without ever once touching the ball on offense. His first 12 return touchdowns came in the first two years of his 11-year career. He ran 2,713 yards on 152 kick and punt returns across those two seasons. Hester holds the NFL record for most all-time return touchdowns (punt and kickoff combined) and most all-time punt return touchdowns.

Hester began his professional career in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears, who selected him in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played in Super Bowl XLI vs. the Indianapolis Colts, where he started the game on a high note for the Bears by returning the game’s opening kick for a touchdown. The feat was the first touchdown return of an opening kickoff in Super Bowl history. It also marked the quickest touchdown scored in Super Bowl history as well as the quickest lead ever taken by any team, though the latter record has since been surpassed by the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.

In 2013, Hester founded the Anytime 23 Empowerment Center Inc., a non-profit organization that serves as a positive, nurturing and safe environment for kids ages 6–18. The organization was later renamed to "Devin Hester Foundation"

Patrick Mannelly is a former American football long snapper. He played college football at Duke and was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Mannelly played with the Bears for 16 years before retiring in 2014. Mannelly was also a midday sports talk host in Chicago on 670 The Score.
